The first argument is always meant to be the language. The second argument is how it's written, the third argument is how it's pronounced. Confused? Not for long.

The First Arguent

The first argument is always meant to be the language itself - without the "language part". So it's just "Classical High Elven", NOT "Classical High Elven language".

After this, you will need to give two more arguments: writing and pronounciation, giving a total of three arguments including this one.

Be aware that if you use "Wood Elven", you wil have to give three more arguments instad of two (totalling 4 arguments including this one), so you should use "Wood Elven Dragoc" or "Wood Elven Artaburro" instead (if you want to specify only one nation's way of writing).

The Second Argument

First of all, to know what you need to enter to the second argument, just consult these:

  • Template:EHE/doc for Early High Elven
  • Template:HE/doc for Classical High Elven, Middle High Elven, High Elven, Middle Etrandish, Etrandish, Etrancoasti, Dark Elven and Artaburro Wood Elven
  • Template:HmnRns/doc for Proto-Human, Old Etrandish, Old Hulran and Late Hulran
  • Template:WE0/doc for Archaic Wood Elven, Classical Wood Elven and Dragoc Wood Elven

For simple "Wood Elven", the second argument is the Dragoci writing, the third is the Artaburran one.

The Third/Fourth Argument

For "Wood Elven", this is the fourth argument, while for every other, this is the third: pronounciation.

You need to consult the article of the language and the alphabet to know about it. If you don't want to copy text, I suggest using an IPA-picker like this or this.

The optional "sound" argument

In case you have an audio file of the word or name being pronounced, you can use the "sound" arguent for it.

For example:

The optional "local" arguments

In case you want to write down how something is pronounced in a local dialect, you need to fill the argumengs locally and locally_sound.

Example: {{IPA2|Etrandish|ab|ab|locally=op}} = Etrandish: ab ; IPA: [ab] ; Locally: [op]
